The History of Fergusons Earthmoving
Ferguson Earthmoving was originally established by Mackley Ferguson Senior in 1947 and following in the footsteps of his father, the business was carried on by Mackley R Ferguson in 1982.
Predominately the business was revolved around projects on the West Coast. Completing major civil infrastructure projects including roading and bridges, linking the West Coast community and forging the way as a leading earthmoving and civil construction business.

Since 2015, James Ferguson (Son of Mackley) has established further earthmoving work within the Canterbury area completing residential and commercial projects for clients. James has over 20 years of experience with earthmoving, backfilling and civil structures.

James has completed his B-grade Quarry Manager certificate. He holds in-depth knowledge around legislative and regulatory requirements and is able to plan and implement safe and productive operations.
